76 stitches?

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I am still deliberating the choice of yarn, but mostly because I can not wrap my mind around the 76 stitches we are supposed to cast on. I normally knit my socks with 56 stitches on 2.5mm needles and 20 stitches is quite a difference, even though I know cables and colorwork make it tighter. I am working up to that necessary leap of faith and will likely use smaller needles. Let's see how I like it then.

Finally got the yarn!

My first post to this KAL, but I've finally gotten the yarn for my Chuck's Cables: I'll be doing them in pink and white, though I am intrigued by the idea of doing them in black (for the cables) and a varigated (for the backround). I may have to do both, just to see how they differ.

Does anyone else find the holidays a good time to knit? Spending time with family, who have long ago ceased to be offended that I'm always doing something with my hands while talking with them. (Wish I could condition the folks at work, like that!) And a lot of football games to watch, which I love, but again, have to be doing something with my hands. (Thank goodness for the instant replay!) So, I'm hoping to get started on the CCS soon.

But first, I have to get through Christmas Day.

Welcome to Karin!

Karin is a new member to our little KAL and has already purchased the yarn for Chuck. However, like with myself, Chuck will have to be on hold until after Christmas, since the Holiday knitting seems to take over.

I for one, am looking forward to seeing some more Chuck progress from everyone, including myself.
